Ed Kitski | Eb Bass

Ed KitskiEdward W. Kitzki joined the band in 1987. As a retired Bank Manager from Equibank, he is an active member of the First Eu. Lutheran Church (LC - MS) and School of Sharpsburg, where he studies and worships with his parents, wife and granddaughter.

Edward played in his high school band from 1943 - 1947, where he had the honor of participating in the Western District of the Pennsylvania School Music Association's Honors Orchestra Festival, playing String Bass. From 1951 until 1953 he played in an Army Band in Japan.

Mr. Kitzki is also involved in playing for the Pine Creek Community Band, the Mt. Zion Balcony Brass, the Pittsburgh Lutheran Brass and the First Eu Lutheran Ensemble. In addition to being involved with Church related work, Edward also enjoys helping out at the Shephard's Table Food Bank. Another pastime of his includes a good game of bowling. He and his wife Phyllis have three children: Ruth, Paul and Mark, as well as six grandchildren.
