Brent Alexander: Eb Soprano Cornet

Brent Alexander holds a bachelor's degree in trumpet from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he studied with John Culp and Kevin Eisensmith, a Masters in Sacred Music/Organ from Duquesne University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Conducting from West Virginia University.  He is the Director of Music Ministry and organist at St. Maurice Church in Forest Hills, Pittsburgh, and Artistic Director of the St. Maurice Sacred Masterworks Choir.  Brent is the Associate Professor of Voice at the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Pittsburgh, PA.  He is active in the music theater community of Pittsburgh, both on stage and in the pit, and loves traditional Irish music, playing whistle and flute.  Currently, Brent resides in North Versailles, PA and enjoys spending time with his two yellow labradors, Opus and Cadence.  Exhibiting a true love and admiration for the labrador breed, he volunteers as a puppy raiser for Leader Dog for the Blind. He joined the ABB in August 2007.
