
Vicki
Casilli joined the ABB as principal trombonist in March, 2002. She holds
a B.S. in Music Education from Duquesne University and an MFA in Trombone
Performance from Carnegie-Mellon University. Her teachers include Carl
Wilhelm, Robert Hamrick and the late Matty Shiner and Byron "B.B." McCulloh.
In addition to playing with the ABB, Vicki is past principal trombonist with the Westmoreland
Symphony Orchestra, the Edgewood
Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Philharmonia Orchestra and has substituted
with the McKeesport Symphony Orchestra.
Her extensive performance experience includes time with the River
City Brass Band , Orquesta Sinfonica del Valle of Cali, Colombia, Orquesta
Sinfonica de Bogota of Bogota, Colombia, the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra,
the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Brass Quintet, the Duquesne Univerity Trombone
Choir, and the Duquesne University Brass Ensemble. She also has taught music in
the Pittsburgh Centers for the Musically Talented, Pittsburgh public schools and Pittsburgh catholic schools and
teaches trombone privately. She also has taught music and arts in various schools and arts camps
throughout Pennsylvania and Colombia.
