The Allegheny Brass Band

The Allegheny Brass Band is the greater Pittsburgh area’s finest amateur British style brass band. Its membership is comprised of musicians from all walks of life, from mechanical engineers to accountants, doctors to teachers, college students to retirees, and everything in between. The band rehearses and performs year round, including stops at the Pittsburgh Veterans Hospital, The Woodlands, Bach Beethoven and Brunch, and a fall performance at our home, North Hills High School, among many, many others. The band’s motto, “We Bring the Band to You!”, sends the ensemble to all four corners of Western Pennsylvania. The Allegheny Brass Band performs a wide variety of music, from Broadway to The Beatles to classic American and European marches to traditional brass band literature. The Allegheny Brass Band is searching for B♭ and E♭ Tuba players to join our ranks.

The Equation: You bring the Tuba + We provide the British Brass Band experience.

The Catch? In true British tradition, our parts are in Treble Clef. If you have your own horn and are ready to tackle a new way of reading (or already speak the language), we have a seat waiting for you.
