Bob Hunt, Percussion

Bob Hunt joined the ABB In 2003. He began playing percussion at age 10. In addition to playing with the ABB, Bob plays with the North Suburban Symphonic Band Dixieland Band and has played with the North Pittsburgh Philharmonic, North Suburban Symphonic Band, and The Brass Staff. Bob counts his musical influences as Wayne Pascuzzi, his private teacher when Bob was young, and his band directors in school — Charles Soergel, Fred Delmonte, and the late Warren Mercer — as well as his mother and sister. Bob recently retired after driving a school bus for North Allegheny Schools for over thirty years. He has been a volunteer firefighter since 1972.


Jeremy Smith, Percussion

Jeremy Smith joined the ABB in 2022.  He is a South Hills native having grown up in Mt. Lebanon, PA.  He earned a Bachelor of Music Education at The University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.  After teaching middle school and high school band in the Oklahoma public school system, Jeremy returned to Pittsburgh where he is currently the Vice-President and General Manager of Welte Roofing Company, a high-end roofing outfit that specializes in custom copper and slate roofing while serving Allegheny County.  Mr. Smith is also an active composer and arranger with works played at the high school and collegiate level throughout the country.  Additionally, Mr. Smith owns an audio/video production company that keeps him busy with all aspects of recording and producing various forms of media relating to the music industry.  He is a student of Lance Drege, Ian Moyer, Michael Raiber, Brett Dietz, and Richard Minnotte and performs with several local music groups and the Christ Community Church of the South Hills worship band.
